Assistant Farm Administrator / Cacao Technician

Qualifications:

• A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture or any agriculture-related courses
• Licensed agriculturist is a plus; Fresh graduates are also welcomed
• Have technical knowledge about cacao farming and relevant work experience is an advantage
• Must be computer literate with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office especially MS Word and MS Excel
• Can work with minimal supervision
• Team player
• Willing and able to travel frequently since farms are located in various barangays and towns in Negros Oriental
• Knows how to drive motorcycle and/or 4-wheeled vehicle
• A resident of Tayasan Municipality or neighbouring towns is preferred or willing to be relocated in Tayasan

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Works closely with farmers to ensure activities such as fertilization, watering, pruning are completed per schedule and in compliance with company standards
• Provides regular report of farm status or as required by the management
• Manages other crops found in the farm like coconut and Acacia Mangium
• Conducts cacao-related training to farmers
• Other administrative tasks as required by the Farm Manager

OJT (On the Job Trainees)

Qualifications:

• The company is open to provide on-the-job trainings to students who are specializing in agriculture or studying agriculture-related courses.
• Can render at least 150 hours for the whole OJT period. Minimum 4 hours per work day
• Main responsibilities include tree mapping, grooming of cacao trees, and improving the efficiencies of our farm systems. Case studies may also become a project when deemed important for the students to learn further.
• Will be provided with 50 pesos transportation allowance per on-site work.
• Location assignment is at our Alpha Farm at Tambulan, Tayasan.
• Cacao-related trainings will be provided, ensuring each trainee will see the benefits and necessities of cacao cultivation
• A chance to be offered a permanent role at the company if with excellent performance, and become part of our long-term vision to be a leader in cacao farming.
